Eurasia University is a foundation university established by law in 2010 at the initiative of the Maçka Education, Culture and Social Service Foundation, whose founding chairman and board head is Dr. Ömer Yıldız; it gained legal status on 28 January 2011 and started teaching the same year. Based in Trabzon, it operates six faculties, two higher schools, two vocational schools and one institute across four campuses. Its slogan presents the university as a gateway to education where continents meet.

About the university
Overview
Rector Prof. Dr. Mahir Kadakal has led the university since 21 December 2024, and enrolment is around 8,500. Teaching is mainly in Turkish, with courses available in English, Russian, Italian and Korean. Six faculties cover arts and social sciences, economics, engineering, health, sports sciences and communication.
Campus and facilities
The Yomra Campus is the most extensive, with modern academic buildings, sports facilities and laboratories near the airport. The seaside Yalıncak (Ömer Yıldız) Campus hosts health laboratories and clinical practice areas, while 22 laboratories, residences for women and men, sports halls, more than 40 clubs and a career centre.

Latest developments
Final registration for inter-institutional, study-abroad and internal grade-based transfers opened for autumn 2026-2027. Applications began under Law No. 7592 for graduate students, horizontal transfer results under Additional Article 1 were announced, and a notice was published for continuing international students. The integrated master's route also opened for applications.
