Istanbul Health and Technology University (İSTÜN) is a foundation university established by the Bilgiç Foundation under a decision published in the Official Gazette on 18 May 2018. The founding foundation's more than 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and health sector shaped the university's health- and technology-oriented academic profile, and teaching began in the 2020-2021 academic year. Its two main axes are health sciences and engineering and technology, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Development Institute bridging them is a distinctive unit. In its opening year the university reached full occupancy.

About the university
Overview
Six faculties shape the university's teaching: Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Economics and Administrative Sciences, and Health Sciences. The academic structure is completed by the Pharmaceutical Research and Development Institute, a graduate education institute, a vocational school of health services and a school of foreign languages.
Campus and facilities
The Sütlüce Campus is the university's only campus on the Golden Horn in Beyoğlu, and since 2023-2024 every unit has been gathered there. The library offers e-journal and e-book subscriptions, interlibrary loan and plagiarism detection. It also houses the Faculty of Dentistry's Oral and Dental Health Centre.
