Izmir Tinaztepe University is a health-focused foundation university established by Law No. 7141 of 18 May 2018. Its founding foundation appears in English-language sources as the SES Health, Education and Sports Foundation, and the university highlights more than 20 years of experience behind the Tınaztepe Health Group. Teaching began in the 2020-2021 academic year and the first graduates completed in June 2022. Clinical education is delivered through the affiliated Galen Tınaztepe and Buca Tınaztepe hospitals.

About the university
Overview
Teaching is mainly in Turkish, with some courses in English. Units include the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Vocational School of Health Services and the Graduate Education Institute. Health Sciences covers nursing, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, midwifery and audiology.
Campus and facilities
The Buca campus occupies a ~102-acre site with 14 teaching buildings. Clinical training runs in the integrated Galen Tınaztepe and Buca Tınaztepe hospitals. A 54-unit guesthouse provides furnished rooms, a shared kitchen and a campus shuttle, alongside the library and documentation unit. Twelve application and research centres are active.

Recent weeks on campus centred on course-selection announcements and alumni meet-ups, while the university presented a paper on artificial intelligence and digital transformation at EDUCongress 2026. Galen Science Days 2026 brought researchers together around healthy longevity, and the ORBİT student portal went live.
