Medipol University

Medipol University is a foundation university established in 2009 by the Turkish Education, Health and Research Foundation. It teaches associate, bachelor's and graduate students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, health sciences, engineering, law, education, communication, business, architecture and design. Teaching runs mainly at the North and South campuses in Kavacık, Beykoz, with Haliç Campus and Medipol Mega University Hospital also involved in education and practice. Cooperation with the university hospital gives medical, dental and health sciences students clinical training and hands-on practice.

About the university
Overview
The university is fully accredited by the Higher Education Quality Council through 2029 and, according to YÖKAK data, ranks third among Turkish foundation universities for accredited bachelor's programmes. Its SABİTA, MEDİTAM and MEDİGEN centres and Technology Transfer Office carry out research on 6G, satellite communication and artificial intelligence.
Campus and facilities
Kavacık North Campus is the main site, with classrooms, laboratories, a library, student dormitories and health units. Kavacık South Campus gathers most bachelor's programmes, research laboratories and conference venues. Haliç Campus in Cibali hosts health sciences and vocational school programmes, while Medipol Mega University Hospital in Bağcılar supports clinical placements.

In the URAP 2025–2026 Turkey ranking the university places 41st with a total URAP score of 748.17. URAP compares universities on academic performance at national level.
Latest developments
In June 2026 a 6G and satellite communication project from the Faculty of Engineering secured support under the TÜBİTAK-EU Horizon Countries call, with Plan-S and Polytechnique Montréal in Canada joining. In July 2026 a positioning technology study by electrical and electronics engineering students won second prize at SİU 2026.
