Ozyegin University

Ozyegin University is a non-profit foundation university founded in Istanbul on 18 May 2007 by the Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, with its establishment published in the Official Gazette under Law No. 5656. It welcomed its first students in the 2008-2009 academic year. The university is known for an applied-learning and entrepreneurship-oriented model, and it is a signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum and a member of the European University Association. Founding chairman Hüsnü M. Özyeğin still heads its Board of Trustees.

About the university
Overview
The university enrols 7,477 students, 1,103 of them international. Its portfolio spans 23 bachelor's, 36 master's and 10 doctoral programmes. Teaching is mainly in English, though some degrees such as Law are delivered in Turkish, and students who lack the required level study at the EAQUALS-accredited Preparatory School.
Campus and facilities
The Çekmeköy campus sits on Istanbul's Anatolian side next to the Aydos forest, with award-winning architecture. It has a 2,600 m² library, a 13,000 m² indoor sports complex and housing for 2,729 students on campus. Its B737 simulator centre was the first inside a Turkish university.
Rankings
In the QS World University Rankings 2027 the university sits in the 1201-1400 band worldwide and moved upward in QS WUR: Europe 2026. It ranks in Türkiye's top three in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026, second nationally for international student ratio and top five for international faculty.
