International Final University

International Final University opened in 2015 in Çatalköy, Kyrenia, in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and began teaching in the 2016-2017 academic year. It was created as a strategic partnership between Final Education Institutions, active in Türkiye since 1980 with more than 500 institutions, and the DMG-Akgünler Group, a leading player in Northern Cyprus tourism and hospitality. The first graduates completed their studies in June 2020. The university offers 70 programmes across 14 academic units.

About the university
Overview
Programmes are organised into nine faculties, three schools, three vocational schools and one institute. Teaching is offered in Turkish and English, with most degrees taught separately in each language and compulsory preparatory study for English-taught programmes. Of 4,225 students, around 54 percent are international.
Campus and facilities
The campus in Çatalköy has smart-board classrooms, a health centre, studios and a sports hall. The Tangül Çağıner Library offers Library of Congress classification and Turnitin access. Around 548 beds across six living centres come in one-, two- or four-person rooms, with a pool, gym and campus shuttle.
Rankings
In the THE Impact Rankings 2026 its strongest result is Quality Education (SDG 4) at 101-200, followed by Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions at 201-300, Sustainable Cities and Communities at 401-600, and Partnerships for the Goals at 1001-1500. uniRank places it 18th in Cyprus and 9,192nd worldwide.
Latest developments
In September 2026 the university joined the UNESCO-linked Green Schools Programme and held an academic orientation for newly appointed staff. Its AI Literacy training, run with the Ministry of National Education, was completed, and an academic cooperation protocol was signed with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
