Uskudar University is a foundation university founded in Istanbul in 2011. It offers associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes and carries out teaching and research in psychology and behavioural sciences, neuroscience, health sciences, forensic sciences, bioengineering, medicine, dentistry and communication. Its educational approach rests on four principles: openness to critique, libertarianism, pluralism and participation. The academic structure spans six faculties, a vocational school of health services and five institutes. Teaching takes place across five campuses in the Üsküdar and Ümraniye districts of Istanbul.

The university holds more than 400 Erasmus agreements. Medical practice draws on NPiSTANBUL Hospital and Istanbul Ataşehir Memorial Hospital.
Campus and facilities
The university operates five campuses. In Üsküdar, the Altunizade Central, Çarşı and Altunizade South sites host engineering, health services, humanities and communication units, with Çarşı Campus close to Marmaray and metro lines. In Ümraniye, the Medical Faculty NP and NP Health campuses run medicine, dentistry and health sciences programmes.

Latest developments
In July 2026 the university announced an English track for its Forensic Sciences bachelor's programme, with 30 national and 30 international places. That month also saw graduation ceremonies for the thirteenth cohort and an application in 21 categories for the 2026 Accessibility in Universities Awards.
